Josh and Vicki (otherwise known as The Bounders - a 2010 Mongol Rally team) have decided to embark on another crazy adventure back on the road!
On the 8th April 2012, we'll set off from Kochi in south-west India heading to Shillong in the north east. It's around 2000 miles and we're doing it in a rickshaw! Yes - a rickshaw.
It's also going to be our honeymoon as we're getting married a few days before. If you've seen Indian roads and drivingthen you'll understand why!

Wow, we left you on quite a cliffhanger didn't we? Been no phone reception for about 4 days so no update...for those waiting to hear - WE MADE IT WITH A VEHICLE!! 9th place in fact clocking 3911km in total. Was looking dicey on Friday morning as everything that could go wrong did: flat tyre, spark lead flaking, running out of fuel (again!!) but we crawled that metal calamity up the hill and got it there with 1st gear not working.

Hello everyone! Just one day away from the finishing line - we know what happened last time we were this close don't we (i.e we broke down, had to hitch hike to a town, the vehicle got stolen etc etc etc) - so cross your fingers and we'll update you on our progress today! xx

a 5am start for us to make it as far north as possible today. Heats of 40* aren't helping take on the potholes very well. Have now done over 3000km and hope to see some mountain ranges today. Cross your fingers that Rickshaw can climb them as she's taken a hammering on these roads the last two days.

We are as close as we can get to Bangladesh without actually going in right now. Highway is all potholes. Please send a helicopter as would be much more convenient. Thanks.

What a day! Did 400kms with much of that over rocks not roads in coal mining territory (wah! miss the beach!) Also took a wrong turning into a coal mine much to the bemusement of the security there. Ended up in the best hotel ever after a sweat fest in 40* heat and then realised I lost my bank card and then cut my head open. Time to relax people!!!
